My wife, son, father, brothers, O none of them will hold my hand. And when I fall in the grave, not one will come to my rescue, when the last prayer is read.

Gurdwara or Gurudwara, is made up of two words,
‘Guru” and ‘Dwara’, which means the Guru’s doorstep or the Guru’s house or abode.
Since in Sikhism, the Guru is Guru Granth Sahib, so the Gurdwara means where this holy book
is kept and where the devotes come to pay obeisance to this Guru Granth.
