Unhappy is he, Who lives under the influence of greed, luxury, anger and pride.
(GURU III, GUJRI RAG)
Picture of the day
Gurdwara or Gurudwara, is made up of two words,
‘Guru”
and ‘Dwara’, which means the Guru’s doorstep or the
Guru’s house or abode.
Since in Sikhism, the
Guru is Guru Granth Sahib, so the Gurdwara means where
this holy book
is kept and where the devotes come to
pay obeisance to this Guru Granth.
